This boat at Dungeness has been locked to its chain ends to prevent you from moving it 200 yards to the English Channel to go fishing - and all this activity was carried out prior to 21 April 2013. The owner was fond of sufficient ballast to prevent sea-sickness whilst in this boat in the sea. Unfortunately the boat has not been used for a while; and so vegetation is now growing in this ballast:-

"With South African origins they are all sun lovers, but they would be used to summer rainfall so we suggest they will do better where they aren't too dry. Hence lots of organic matter in the soil to hold the moisture will pay dividends. It does sometimes take a while for an Agapanthus crown to flower well again, so expect better flowers in the second year.
