Comment

Erect Form.

"Salvia patens is a fantastic, Moroccan-blue. An excellent garden plant and cut flower (10 day vase life after searing stem ends in boiling water for 30 seconds). A stalwart old favourite with no seed-grown flower equalling it in its intensity of blue." from Sarah Raven.

"Sow Salvia patens seed from February to March in pots, or trays containing a good quality compost such as John Innes 'Seed and Cutting'.

You will need to provide heat in order to help initiate germination so place the pots or trays into a heated propagator at approximately 18 degrees Celsius.

Do not exclude light as this helps germination, and keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged. The newly germinated seedling should emerge from 14 to 30 days.

Prick out the seedlings once they are large enough to handle and pot on into individual 3 inch pots.

Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost had gone. If you are planting in groups, space 18 inches apart." from The Garden of Eaden.

A good photo of the flower by Jessica from Rusty Duck - "Hello.

I’m Jessica. Welcome to my blog.

Maybe we’ve all thought about it. Hang up the stressful day job and escape to a simpler life in the country.

Mike and I bought a cottage in the South West of England, well off the beaten track. We were after a ‘project’, a place that we could renovate through our own effort, and turn into the house of our dreams.

It sits on the south facing side of a valley with a river running through the bottom.

The gradient of our 3.5 acres averages out at about 45 degrees.

There are 84 steps from the house to the garage and the road, a 168-step round trip to collect the post, meet courier and grocery deliveries, and any other personal contact with the outside world.

I am not a member of a gym.

There are trees, and then a lot more trees. Apart from the small clearing in which the house sits, the land is wild and untamed woodland.

We share the valley with an abundance of wildlife, most of it welcome.

The South West is ‘blessed’ with an awful lot of rain. The ducks were rusty when I bought them, but I have absolutely no difficulty keeping them that way." These ducks can be shy, so please be patient and click on the right arrow in the first image!!
She has developed a technical Health and Safety method for keeping wire against a wall!
It would be very kind if she could install a door for the Man Shed instead of Mike having to lift it up to get in!

Heliotropium arborescens is synonymous with Heliotropium peruvianum, but whether cultivar 'Marine' is the same as 'Dwarf Marine' I would not know since their descriptions are different.

The Black Plant Label inserted after the White Plant Label appears to provide the name for a different plant from that named in the White Plant Label, so no Bedding Plant Description Page produced.

"99roots is all about gardening. We’ll help you to be pro without turning into your parents. We have inspirational ideas, amazing gardening products, how-to guides on pruning, advice for taking care of your little loved ones (plants, that is). We also have a Q&A section for members and of course our massive database of over 8700 plant profiles including Wlassov's geranium 'Blue Star' with all the info you could ever need to help you pick your perfect plants. If that’s not enough, we’ve grouped flowers and plants into inspirational sets with tagged photos, so you can see what you’re aiming for. Some are even ready to buy and grow. You are most welcome.

Here at 99Roots we work our bulbs off to make you happy. We're writing, testing, presenting, inspiring, shooting, filming and researching everyday. We also drink tea and eat sometimes, but mainly it's work, we swear. So here's a list of those hard-working individuals that keep 99Roots green and hopefully keep you happy."

...Drive Foundations
Ryegrass and turf kills plants within Roadstone and in Topsoil due to it starving and dehydrating them.
CEDAdrive creates stable drive surface and drains rain into your ground, rather than onto the public road.
